Initiatives
PROJECT K.E.E.N
The displacement of children due to conflicts in the northwest & southwest regions has left many underprivileged children without stable educational opportunities and recreational activities. These children often lack access to a supportive environment that fosters both learning and personal development. “Project K.E.E.N aims to support and develop the lives of displaced children through a series of educational and entertaining (edutainment) recreational activities that provide holistic development.
Displaced children face numerous challenges, including trauma, lack of stable education, and limited access to recreational facilities. These factors contribute to poor mental and emotional well-being and hinder their overall development. These children need structured, supportive environments that combine education and recreation to help them thrive.
OLD IS GOLD
Elderly people in Cameroon often face health challenges, social isolation, and a lack of opportunities to share their valuable knowledge and experiences with younger generations. “OLD IS GOLD” aims to support the elderly by providing health assistance, facilitating knowledge transfer to the next generation, and organizing recreational activities that promote well-being and community integration.
In October 2019, as part of the activities to mark the International Day of Older Persons under the theme “The Journey to Age Equality” Patience EMBELLE partnered with the ICT University and Tears Wipers to offer material support to 5 elderly internally displaced Cameroonians living in Yaoundé.
She also liaised with a pharmacy to donate medications according to the needs of the elderly.
